Review of Read, Write, Own (2024) – Chris Dixon

Read, Write, Own by Andreessen Horowitz, general partner Chris Dixon imagines a world where Andreessen Horowitz general partners are even more wealthy, a world where crypto and web3 have proven themselves valuable and unlocked novel economic activity. Fortunately, the book fails to actually make this future seem desirable or even possible, and instead faceplants into trying to convince us that failed things still have potential.

Dixon has a vision of the future where all of your financial transactions are publicly known by every government, every company, and every venture capital asshole. I do not recommend this book or Chris Dixon.
